David R. “Snake” Leigey

Obituary

David R. “Snake” Leigey, 64, husband of Carolyn L. (Lamey) Leigey of 1268 East Valley Road Loganton, Pa 17747, passed away at home where he was most at peace.

Born in Bellefonte, on September 16, 1958 he was the son of the late Patrick J. Leigey and Olive E. (Lutz) Leigey of Rebersburg.

Dave and Carolyn wed on January 17th, 1981, and happily shared 41 years together.

Dave worked for Stoltzfus Builders for the last 21 years, before that he worked for Emanuel Peachey and also for Frost Bierly.

He loved his family.  He enjoyed spending time with grandkids.  He found peace when he was hunting and fishing.  He also found contentment with taking his grandkids for rides in his side-by- side and couldn’t wait to play in the snow with his new tractor.

He is survived by two children, Patricia L. (Steve) Leigey of Loganton and David J. (Crystal) Leigey and six grandkids, Kadin, Olivia, Ethan, Alaina, Riley, and Isabella.

In addition to his wife and family, he is survived by three sisters, Ruth Berkey, Connie Leigey, Janet Leigey, and one brother Robert Leigey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dan Leigey and three sisters Anna Broome, Bonnie Lewis, and Patty Jo Leigey.

The family has entrusted their arrangements to Yost – Gedon  Funeral Home and Cremation Services LLC.  121 W. Main St. Lock Haven, PA.
