Lady Wildcat Volleyball Sweeps Mifflin County, 3-0
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Central Mountain volleyball squad closed out their final regular season home game with a solid 3-0 win over visiting Mifflin County, Monday night.
The Lady Wildcats nearly doubled up on the Lady Huskies 25-13 in game 1, followed by another solid 25-15 victory in game.
Mifflin County would settle down in the third stanza and take a 8-5 lead in the early going od game 3, then the Lady ‘Cats started chipping away at the Husky lead to finally take the lead back at 18-17 to go on for the win at 25-18.
Leading the way for the Lady Wildcats were: Evie Rembold with 1 block, 2 aces, 8 kills, 1 assist and 3 digs. Loni Duck had 1 ace, 7 kills, 7 assists and 8 digs. Mallory Eck had 3 aces, 1 kill and 2 digs. McKenzie Hanna had 1 ace, 7 kills, 2 assists and 3 digs. Ali Lucas recorded 3 kills, 1 assist and 2 digs. Ashley Rich had 1 ace, 1 assist and 5 digs. Tatum Malone recorded 2 blocks, 4 aces and 2 assists. Emily Bartlett had 3 aces and 3 digs.
The regular season winds down for Central Mountain with back-to-back road trips to Altoona on Wednesday, Oct. 21 and a rematch at Mifflin County on Thursday, Oct. 22.
