‘Cats Fall to Danville, 3-1
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Central Mountain boys’ soccer team hosted Danville, who was still seeking their first win of the season, found one at Malinak Stadium, Monday evening with the Ironmen picking up a 3-1 win.
All the Danville scoring came in the first period with Damian White scoring the first two goals at the 27:54 and again at 21:35. Then it was Kevin Dempsey closing out the scoring for the Ironmen late un the first period.
Central Mountain goat on the board shortly after intermission when Nate Brinker found the back of the net at the 36:59 mark, assisted by Caden Malek. Chase Young and Evan Cross made their presence known throughout the game for the Wildcats as well.
Danville held the edge on corner kicks 8-2 and shots on goal 7-2.
Cy Probst earned 4 saves on the night for the ‘Cats.
The loss Central Mountain dropped to 2-6-1 on the season, 1-4-1 in PHAC play.
Next up for Central Mountain is a road trip to Midd-West, Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
