Carol Ann Bailey – Obituary

Carol Ann Bailey, 76, of 236 Main St., North Bend, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born in Scranton on October 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Pat M. and Isabelle Sadie Heaps Gilroy.

Carol was a 1955 graduate of Renovo High School, remaining very involved with her class after graduation.

She was the Cafeteria Manager for both Bucktail High School and Elementary School for twenty-two and a half years before retiring.

Carol was a lifetime member of the Chapman Township Fire Company.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, and crocheting as well as traveling and attending concerts.

Carol is survived by four children: Donald (Sue) Bailey, Jr. of Sunderlandville, Mike (Tina) Bailey of Renovo, Debra (Jim) Bauer of Farwell, and Cathy Bailey Noble of Florida; nine grandchildren: Corey Bauer, Tanya Reese, Donald Bailey, III, Carrie English, Ben Bailey, Alex Bailey, Maya Noble, Thomas Bailey, Jr., and Shawn Bailey; and four great grandchildren: Hayley Bauer, Weston Reese, Olivia English, and Jack English.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Miller.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at North Bend United Methodist Church, 41 Main St., North Bend, with Lay Minister Martha Sykes officiating.
