Central Mountain Falls to Jersey Shore, 4-1
JERSEY SHORE – The Central Mountain boys tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision on the road Monday afternoon against a tough Jersey Shore squad.
The Wildcats’ lone win came from Tim Brinker at No. 2 singles, who battled through a tight match to defeat Saul Hensker 7-6, 3-6, 10-8 in a super tiebreaker.
At No. 1 singles, Joey McCluskey fell to Ryder Fink 2-6, 0-6, while No. 3 singles was awarded to Jersey Shore by forfeit.
In doubles action, Mitch Borges and Wesley Cowart dropped a 2-6, 2-6 decision at No. 1 doubles to Eera Panlhams and Luke Sarge. At No. 2 doubles, Ben Brinker and Owen Stringfellow took the first set but couldn’t hold on, falling 6-4, 3-6, 0-10 to Dillan Harsanyi and Dekin McDermott.
Central Mountain will look to bounce back when they host Shikellamy on Tuesday. The Wildcats will also host a home quad meet on Thursday.
