Wildcats Blank Milton at Home

MILL HALL – The Central Mountain boys tennis team delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday afternoon, shutting out visiting Milton Area 5-0 to stay perfect on the young season.

The Wildcats swept all three singles matches in convincing fashion. At No. 1 singles, Joey McCluskey set the tone early with a 6-1, 7-6 victory, holding off a late push in the second set. Tim Brinker followed with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2. At No. 3, Wesley Cowart bounced back after dropping the first set, rallying for a 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 win in a three-set match.

In doubles action, Brayden Spedding and Mitchell Borges claimed a 6-3, 6-3 win on the top doubles court. Tim Brinker, pulling double duty, teamed up with Owen Stringfellow to secure the sweep with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.

The Wildcats will travel to Jersey Shore on Thursday for their next match.
