Obituary – Daniel Howard Wolfe, Jr.

Daniel Howard Wolfe, Jr., 75, of Lock Haven passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Born November 30, 1948 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Daniel H. and Elaine E. (Hanna) Wolfe, Sr.

After graduating from Lock Haven High School in 1967, he worked at the Silk Mill until 1978.  He then was employed at the Clinton County Jail, during which time he joined and proudly served in the United States Navy until being honorably discharged in 1986.  He retired from the Clinton County Correctional Facility in 2004.  In retirement, Daniel continued working, delivering parts for Advanced Auto for 11 years.

Daniel was a member of the Lock Haven Moose, Lodge 100.

In his younger years, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing.

He always had a project, often having to do with woodworking.  

Daniel was a collector of many things.

He loved camping and sitting around the fire with good friends.

Although not wealthy, Daniel was rich in friendships.

He was a beloved son, father, grandfather and brother.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Michael Esposit of Lock Haven; three grandchildren: Cullen Harrell, Koral Esposit and Evan Esposit; and his nieces and nephew: Tina (Brian) Croce-Snook, Thomas (Robin) Croce, Jr. and Celeste (Roger) Gingerich-Elling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Diane Croce and Sandra Gingerich.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 1 PM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.  Interment with Military Honors will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of the service.
