Lady Bucks’ tennis competes at District IV doubles tournament

WILLIAMSPORT- Bucktail’s tennis season rolled on during Saturday’s District IV doubles tournament. The Lady Bucks entered two teams, both of which would go 1-1 on the day.

Eva Sockman and McKenna Bissman would down Lewisburg in the opening round by a 6-2, 6-3 count. Sockman and Bissman would then fall to 5 seeded South Williamsport 6-0, 6-3, which eliminated them.

Newcomers on the tennis court, Lola English and Matti Mason would put forth a solid effort. Mason and English would win a hard fought 11-10 pro set decision against Mifflinburg to open tournament play. They would then fall to 3 seeded Hughesville 6-0, 6-0, ending their run.

Round 1: Eva Sockman/ McKenna Bissman (B) def. Lewisburg 2  6-2, 6-3

Round 2: South WIlliamsport 1 def. Eva Sockman/ McKenna Bissman (B) 6-0, 6-3

Bucktail #2 Team:  (Lola English and Matti Mason)

Round 1:  Matti Mason/ Lola English (B) def. Mifflinburg 2  11-10 (Pro Set)

Round 2:  Hughesville 1 def. Matti Mason/ Lola English (B)  6-0, 6-0
