Obituary – Logan Blair Decker

Logan Blair Decker, infant son of Christopher Blair and Patricia Mae (Gentzyel) Decker, passed away in the arms of his parents on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Logan leaves behind his parents, Christopher and Patricia, and his loving fur-sister, Buttercup; his adoring grandparents, Bruce and Maria Ransom of Renovo, PA, Todd Gentzyel of North Bend, PA, Janet Adams and Michael Pollakowski of Odessa, MO, and Mark Decker of Tyrone, PA, and his caring great grandparents, Patricia Rauch of Renovo, PA, Priscilla Gentzyel of North Bend, PA, Joanne and Bruce Ransom of Renovo, PA, and Beatrice Decker of Pennsylvania Furnace, PA. Logan also leaves behind his uncle and aunt Nicholas and Tanya Gentzyel, cousins: Aubrey, Caroline, and Gianna, all of Renovo, PA, and uncle and aunt Marc and Taylor, and cousins Lucy and Harriet, all of Bellefonte.

He was met at Heaven’s gates by his maternal step-grandmother, Deborah (Casper) Gentzyel, maternal great grandfathers, Charles Rauch and Franklin Gentzyel, and paternal great grandparents, Kenneth Decker, and William and Christina (Barto) Adams.

Though Logan’s time with his family was brief, all he ever knew was love. His final act of kindness and love was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Logan donated his heart valves and cartilage to the Gift of Life to help other babies in need.

Funeral and burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
