Robert E. Walker, 81, of 256 Park Avenue, Lock Haven, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at his home.

Born on September 23, 1932 in Monument, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Martha Weaver Walker.

Robert was a 1953 graduate of Lock Haven High School. After graduating he served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was married to the former Marsha J. Kennedy who preceded him in death.

Robert worked for Woolrich Woolen Mills before being employed at Piper Aircraft until its closing. He then worked in the construction department at Avis America.

He attended the Woolrich Community United Methodist Church.

In his earlier years, Robert was an avid bowler, hunter, and fisherman. He was also a huge sports fan, rooting for Penn State, the Steelers, and the Pirates.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Julie (Andy) Weaver of Rote; a sister: Shirley Walker of Altoona; two grandchildren: Frankie Probst and Holden Whitehead; his lifetime companion, Nancy M. Karichner of Woolrich; and his extended family of eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Bruce, Calvin, Betty Jane, Clifford, Richard, Verna, Harry, Harvey, Anna Mae, and his identical twin brother, Ralph.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced upon completion.
