William Barrett – Obituary
Bill was born in Lock Haven on March 29, 1950, the son of the late Richard Elwood Barrett and Pat Gardner Barrett who survives in Pine Station.
He was a 1969 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On May 13, 2005 in Jersey Shore, he married the former Patricia Harrau, who survives.
Bill worked for the Pennsylvania College of Technology for 28 years before his retirement in 2012.
He loved spending time outdoors. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hiking the trails at Zindle Park in McElhattan. He liked going for walks with his wife and spent a lot of his free time landscaping at his house. Bill was also an accomplished woodworker and made a business out of selling his woodworking items after his retirement.
In addition to his wife and mother, Bill is survived by a daughter, Jami Lynn (Michael) Madonia of Illinois; two brothers, Michael of McElhattan and James of North Carolina; two step-children, Thomas W. (Mary) Casilio and Nichole L. (Mario Cej) Casilio, both of Lock Haven; and five grandchildren, Alexandra and Weston Madonia, Taylor and Cameron Casilio and Gio Cej.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Barrett.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
