Pine Creek Township police seek public assistance in dog-shooting case

WAYNE TOWNSHIP, PA -Pine Creek Township police are asking anyone with information on a dog-shooting incident to contact them.

Police said on Thursday they were notified of the animal abuse case earlier this week, the report from the Clinton County SPCA. The police release said the dog, named Lucky, was located on Pine Mountain Road in Wayne Township and had been shot. The dog is receiving treatment and the investigation is ongoing. If anyone has any information please contact the department at 570-753-5672.

News of the dog’s plight, posted on social media by the SPCA only days ago, brought an immediate show of public support. At last report $9,725 had been donated from 305 community members.

The SPCA posted a thank you for the response and said inquiries about adopting Lucky are not appropriate at this time as it will be months until she is available for adoption.
