County sets election information session for candidates

LOCK HAVEN, PA – 2023 in Pennsylvania will be what is known as a “local election year” with multiple races for Clinton County and its municipalities on the ballot. As a result, the county voter registration department has posted word on an informational meeting for prospective candidates.

The “Candidates Night” session has been scheduled for Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the county’s Piper Building; per the posting, “for individuals interested in running for a municipal office.”

After a sparse 2022 election ballot, that will be far from the case in Clinton County this year, beginning with the May 16 primary. Countywide races will include all three county commissioner positions, district attorney, sheriff, register & recorder, prothonotary and all three auditor positions. Additionally, all three county district judge slots will be on the ballot.
