The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park and Bucktail High School have joined forces and planned a Back to School Night held on Monday, August 8 at the Flaming Foliage Lot in Renovo.

In all, 14 BAHS teachers and staff, Principal Hall and 75 students and parents all turned out for the amazing night that included activities like a Corn Hole tournament and outdoor movie. Students were also able to get their class schedule for the 2022-23 school year, meet their teachers, pick up last year’s school yearbook orders, sign up for school clubs, sign up for 4-H programs, and enjoy popcorn, candy and drinks, while catching up with their friends.

Heritage Park member, Mary George Rhone said “Such a great turn out for the back to school bash. I hope this ‘we are in this together’ attitude sticks with you all year round!”

Bucktail teacher, Janene Sockman said “I love it! It was so nice to see many kids and families. It actually has me excited to get back to school.” She also praised Heritage Park saying “You guys are awesome! Your organization is just wonderful and you all work together so well. Thanks so much for everything.”

The new Music and special Education teachers also attended the event.

Bucktail student, Mattisyn Mason posted on Facebook saying “I loved having this! Shows how much a small town like us can have the biggest school spirit.”

Mr. Poorman and Camry Cole won the Corn hole Tournament.
