For the Record – Nov. 20, 2014

Whatever Rocky wants …
Rumor has it that Rocky Jones is in line to be next mayor of Hyner. I tried to track down this rumor because there wasn’t a spot on the recent election ballot for mayor of Hyner. The only Rocky Jones I was able to trace was a fat cat who lives with Ron and Sara Jones. Rocky apparently has trained his servants well. He knows how to get things done and how to delegate responsibility. For instance, if Rocky wants to go outside, his servants enable him to go outside. And when he wants back inside he rings the doorbell and someone is there to open the door.
Got Muscles? We can use ‘em!
Rumor has it men with muscles and lots of steady nerves are in demand…at least for this coming weekend. The word is that Christmas decorations will be hung around Renovo this weekend – Saturday and Sunday – and some help is needed, especially from men who are willing to climb ladders to hang the decorations. If you can help the adults and Bucktail Interact Club members decorate this weekend and you please contact Pattie Rauch for details regarding time and place, etc. at 570-923-1923. Pattie told the Catholic Daughters Tuesday evening the holiday decorating is a continuing of a project idea of Aaron Kelley’s from last year.
C.D. of A. Christmas Bazaar …
The Catholic Daughters will be holding their annual Christmas Bazaar in St. Joseph’s social hall this Saturday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be theme baskets, crafts, bake sale items, RADA knives, a flea market, homemade soups and sandwiches and food, etc. There will be cookies for sale and theme baskets to take chances on. All are welcome!
Rumor has it that Santa is expected to be at the bazaar from 11:30 to 2 p.m.
BMC Thanksgiving to rock …
Bud & The Dynamics will entertain at Bucktail Medical Center this Thursday evening at five for an early Thanksgiving treat for residents and their relatives and friends, patients and staff. The band has entertained at BMC for the annual Thanksgiving dinner in recent years. Sometimes guests dance a little to the music.
I forgot to mention …
Last week when I mentioned the young crop of Tarantellas currently serving in the military, I forgot to mention Albert Tarantella III who is serving in the US Navy.
I did mention that young Charlize Kepler sang “What A Wonderful World” but I forgot to mention that a slides of Louis Armstrong photos were shown as she sang and played piano.
