SHREWSBURY – Marlene F. Krebs, 77, died Friday, October 10, 2014, at her son’s residence in Hanover. She was the wife of the late James R. Krebs, Sr. A viewing and funeral service was held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at St. John Evangelical Church, 175 E. Main St., New Freedom with the Rev. Dr. Peggy Click officiating. Interment was in Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury.

Born August 19, 1937, in Renovo, Clinton County, Marlene was the daughter of the late John T. and Frances (Confer) Lomax. Marlene was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hanover. She enjoyed gambling, going to Atlantic City, loved baking, and cherished her family. Marlene is survived by three sons, Jack E. Long and his wife, Darlene, and Randy M. Long and his wife, Lori, all of Hanover, and Joseph M. Ragusa and his wife, Marilyn of Reading; and three stepchildren, Susan L. Stanbaugh of New Windsor, Md., Beth L. Walker of York, and Jim R. Krebs, Jr., of Stewartstown.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Lomax and his wife, Carol of Renovo; and a sister, Margaret Hollomon and her husband, George of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a daughter, April M. Pierson; a stepdaughter, Debra Perry; and three siblings.
