Everett James Nelen, 67, of North Bend passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at Bucktail Medical Center.
Born May 21, 1954 in Renovo he was the son of the late Edward A. and Myrtle P. (Byrnes) Nelen.
Everett was a member of the Western Clinton County Sportsmen Association. He loved anything outdoors, especially spending time in the woods hunting. He enjoyed gardening, canning, pig roasts, and taking care of his chickens and dogs.
Everett is survived by two brothers, Larry F. (JoAnn) Nelen of Renovo, and Fred E. Nelen of Brockway; five sisters, Louise A. Baker of Emporium, Dolly M. (Steve) Delker of Muncy, Jan E. MacAfee of Havelock, NC, Nancy J. Nelen of Renovo, and Lin M. Nelen of Tennessee; one daughter, Melanie Shadley of Jacksonville, NC; three step-daughters, Sheri Shields, Teri Leemon, and Jennifer Dorn; two grandchildren, Dylan Dorn and Jarrett Dorn; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Timothy Rossell. In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his long-term companion, Patricia Kolesar; two brothers, Ron Nelen, and Mike Nelen; and one sister, Diane M. Harchick.
A graveside service will be at 11 A.M. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at North Bend Cemetery in North Bend, PA, with Martha Sykes officiating. A reception will directly follow at Sons of Italy in Renovo. Maxwell Funeral Home in Renovo has charge of arrangements.
