Rolan E. Weaver – Obituary

Rolan E. Weaver, 90, of Mill Hall passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born April 16, 1930 in Tylersville, he was the son of the late Rolan Roy and Cora Belle (McCaleb) Weaver.

Rolan was a 1949 graduate of Sugar Valley High School.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

On June 3, 1954, he married his love, the former Janice Snyder, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

Rolan was employed at Piper Aircraft until its closing and then at Penn State University as a painter.

He was a member of the Lock Haven Church of Christ.

Rolan was a Mason and formerly a member of the Consistory of Williamsport, Jaffa Shrine of Altoona and Bellefonte Lodge #268.

His greatest love was his family- his wife, children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Janice Weaver, he is survived by three sons: Steven Kent (Sue) Weaver of Bellewood, Mark Allen (Staci) Weaver of Lamar and Ross Adam (Shelia) Weaver of Flemington; his sister, Vivian Emma Poorman of Bellefonte; five grandchildren: Misty (Doug) Leonard, Branden (Jen) Weaver, Maddy Jo (Hunter) Botkin, Samantha Kneale and Adam (Keara) Weaver; 13 great grandchildren; and 4 step-great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Dale Weaver.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the First Church of Christ, 330 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven with Pastor Matthew Kinley officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the church on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service.
