Monday Final Day for Free Coronavirus Testing in Clinton County; Commissioners Urge Participation
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The turnout for free COVID-19 tests in Clinton County has been less than expected, so the Clinton County Commissioners urged the public to turnout on Monday, the final day at the test site at the Castanea Fire Company Picnic Grounds adjacent to Piper Memorial Airport.
County emergency services officials told the commissioners at their Monday morning work session that through the first four days, something just less than 900 had been tested. The program had been set up to test more than 2,000 over the five day period.
County board chairman Miles Kessinger said he planned to visit the picnic ground site before the 6 p.m. closing time on Monday.
Commissioner Angela Harding said that COVID-19 is “closing in on us” and urged community members to be tested to determine if they are asymptomatic and therefore unknowingly spreading the virus. She said community members have a responsibility to protect one-another.
