LHU COVID-19 Cases up Eight
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Lock Haven University on Tuesday reported eight more positive tests for coronavirus, running the total to 58. The school’s dashboard listed 1,033 tests. Positive test results jumped from 50 to the Tuesday figure of 58. It moved the test positivity rate to 5.6, the first time that percentage crossed the five percent threshold.
The school last week began two weeks of remote instruction because of an upsurge in cases.
The school said at the time that LHU is aiming for a Sept. 21 resumption of face-to-face classes, but before that can happen there will be reentry COVID-19 testing available to all students living on or off campus and/or taking face-to-face classes and to employees. The voluntary testing will be done Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 16 and 17 and results processed before Monday, Sept. 21.
The LHU dashboard can be seen at http://www.lockhaven.edu/Covid19Dashboard/ and is normally updated daily at 9 a.m. on weekdays.
