LHU Wrestling Announces 2020 Recruiting Class

 

LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven University head wrestling coach Scott Moore has announced the Bald Eagles’ 2020 recruiting class. 13 wrestlers are listed, all of whom have either signed a National Letter of Intent to wrestle at LHU, have been accepted to or are enrolled at Lock Haven University.

Ushering in a new class, the Bald Eagles will seek to continue their trademark “Rise” with a 2020 class that represents over 1,400 wins and 10 state championships. A university release said the 13 program additions “will add much needed depth in a variety of weight classes.”

“We are extremely excited about this year’s recruiting class. We were able to fill all of our needs and then some with this large class,” Moore said.

“This group is very determined to build upon their prior success and establish a championship culture. It is by far the best recruiting class in my tenure as head coach, with wrestlers from five different states who have won championships at every level. Our staff worked hard to build strong relationships with each of these wrestlers that will last a lifetime. We look forward to welcoming them to campus soon,” Moore added.

On paper, this recruiting class is seen as one of the most talented classes in school history. It also includes two transfers; a JUCO National finalist from Iowa Central in Ashton Eyler and a two-time Prep Highschool National Champion in Jack Davis from Penn State.
