Central Mountain 15th Annual Commencement
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP — The Central Mountain High School Class of 2014, some 323 in number, Monday evening became the school’s 15th graduating class, the 90 minute ceremony moved into the high school gymnasium because of threatening weather.
It was a program with marked with tradition and also a challenge from class valedictorian Zachary High. He told his classmates to “put in the time” in order to be successful. He asked a number of senior class members to stand as he illustrated his point, from track standouts Jena Toner and Kyler Klein to class salutatorian Andrew Wheeler, all had put in the time.
It was the final commencement ceremony for Principal Karen Probst, retiring at the end of this school year. She was saluted by Superintendent Kelly Hastings and presented a bouquet of flowers from assistant principal Steve Turchetta.
