Keystone Little League Honored

LOCK HAVEN — The Keystone Little League team Sunday evening received a welcome home befitting the newly crowned Pennsylvania champions.

The Keystone team was part of a mammoth downtown parade which also honored the Keystone 9-11 squad still participating at that division’s state tournament in Mount Union along with the the 8-10 All-Stars that represented Keystone in their state tournament in Bradford and the Loggerheads swim team which won the Greater Susquehanna Valley championship.

The squads were then recognized prior to the City of Lock Haven summer concert at the Corman Amphitheater, all applauded for their accomplishments.

Keystone head coach Ben Falls told therecord-online that plans are being made for a public workout at the Mill Hall field for Tuesday evening, additional details to be announced.

With its Saturday Pennsylvania title in Rostraver Township, Keystone will be heading to Bristol, Conn. for the Mid-Atlantic championships starting Sunday. Keystone will participate in the opening game, a 10 a.m. matchup with Maryland state champion Hughesville. Six teams will be in the hunt for the Mid-Atlantic crown, the survivor advancing to the Little League World Series in South Williamsport later this month.
