Central Mountain Boys Bop Mounties

cm-basketballBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It’s been pretty much a season on the road so far for the Central Mountain boys basketball team but their most recent away game turned out to be a winner, 74-11 over winless Philipsburg-Osceola.

Of the Wildcats’ first eight games, six have been away from home and the road trek will continue this Friday at Hollidaysburg (4-4). The Golden Tigers already own a 43-24 win over the Wildcats earlier this season.

A contest at Williamsport (4-5), scheduled for Tuesday of this week, was postponed due to the cold weather.

The win at P-O came easily for the now 3-5 Wildcats: 14-2 after one quarter, 37-4 after two and 57-5 after three periods.

Seniors Tyler Everhart and Travis Turchetta paced the offense with 19 and 16 points respectively. Tanner Meeker added 10 and coach Scott Baker got a look at a lot of players in game conditions.

Central Mountain is scheduled to finally get another home game, next Monday with DuBois (4-3).
