FARWELL-Bucktail senior Ethan Charcalla brought back an alumni basketball game to Bucktail Saturday evening as some of Bucktail’s former greats returned to the Dale Florey Gymnasium to help the 12th grader raise money for the Renovo Midget Athletic Association.
The evening of basketball fun raised $1,323 for the RMAA thanks to Charcalla’s efforts but on Saturday the real story was the reliving of glory days of the over 20 Bucktail hard court veterans.
Ethan was helped out by Bucktail varsity coaches Travis Fantaskey and his Dad Mike Charcalla. Ethan selected Donnie Thorsten as the nights MVP after Thorsten scored 10 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds and a steal.
Other night highlights included: Trent Risley winning the 3-point contest; The Black team knocked off the Red team 66-58 with Mikey Casper scoring 13 in the win, Tim Emerick was the top scorer in the losing cause with 10. Gavin Pick won $100 by claiming the half court shot contest at halftime.
