Clinton County’s Unemployment Rate Steady in June

LOCK HAVEN-Clinton County’s unemployment rate for the month of June held steady, according to information released Tuesday by the state Department of Labor & Industry.

Clinton had a 3.9% rate, the same as was listed for the month of May. One year ago, the county had the same 3.9% jobless rate.

Centre County was among five of the Commonwealth’s 67 counties with the lowest June unemployment rate at 2.6%. Clinton was listed at no. 48 with its 3.9%, and Forest County had the highest number at 5.3%
For the week ending July 20, 2024, Clinton County residents filed 24 initial, new claims for jobless benefits. The continued claim number for the same time frame was 270 county residents.
