Obituary – Nancy E. (Farwell) Butler
Nancy E. (Farwell) Butler, 89, passed away at Pine Run Village Health Center in Doylestown, PA on March 15, 2024. She was born in Ferney, PA on January 26, 1935 to the late Theodore Farwell and late Zillah (Scrimshaw/ Farwell) Nelson; and was the loving wife of the late Maynard “Red” Butler.
Nancy grew up in the Hyner and Renovo area and was a graduate of the Renovo High School class of 1954. Nancy worked as a waitress starting in her high school years at Gianopoulos’ Restaurant and also at Sockman’s (Socky’s) in Renovo. A number of years ago she moved out of the area to Harrisburg where she lived the majority of her life and continued to work as a waitress until she retired.
In 2014 she moved to Levittown, Bucks County, PA to live with her sister Althea “Fifi” Stone. She was an animal lover and always had a rescue dog or cat over the years. She had a real sweet tooth and enjoyed her treats and would always have something to offer in the way of treats for anyone who stopped by.
Nancy is survived by her sister Althea “Fifi” Stone; niece Teddi Mae (Harvey) Miller; nephew Roger (Patti) Stone; grand nieces & nephews Kira (Ryan) Pugliese, Brit (Anna) Stone, Abbie Miller (fiance Tyler), Blake (Emily) Miller, and Charlie Mae (Noah) Davis and other loving friends.
Private services will be held by the family at the North Bend Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family.
