William P. Kellerman Memorial Scholarship Recital
LOCK HAVEN, PA- Current and former members of the Keystone Central School District Music Department faculty will, once again, come together–for the first time since 2019–to present the William P. Kellerman Memorial Scholarship Recital. The recital will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lock Haven. There will be a reception with complimentary light refreshments afterward.
Performance numbers include a few selections for mixed choir, solos for organ, French horn, and voice, a tenor sax and trombone duet, and a majestic work for brass ensemble, among others.
There will also be the traditional “fun” piece, for those looking forward to a lighter selection and perhaps a few laughs. This year, the recital will include some very special guests: Mezzo-soprano Rebecca Kellerman-Filsell, her husband Jeremy Filsell, and her sons Paul Petretta and William Petretta, are traveling from Manhattan to join the KCSD faculty in this musical celebration.
The concert is held to support a scholarship in memory of William P. Kellerman. Bill was an outstanding student and musician in the Keystone Central School District. After graduating from Bald Eagle-Nittany High School, he touched many lives as a teacher and a performing musician. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kellerman, Jr.
The Music Department is honored to remember Bill by providing students from Central Mountain and Bucktail High Schools with a scholarship to further their educations and help them attain their goals.
