Motor Vehicle Accident
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP: On December 16, 2025, at 7:44 a.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred on Cider Press Road at its intersection with Julia Drive. Chase Beard, 19, of Lock Haven, was traveling west when a Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Ronald Dorce, 36, of Lock Haven, reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled out in front of Beard. Beard’s Ford Explorer struck the front end of the Camaro, resulting in minor damage, and the Ford Explorer sustained disabling damage. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

GREENE TOWNSHIP: On December 19, 2025, at 5:21 a.m., Tyler Burkey, 27, of Ridgeway, PA, was involved in a single-vehicle accident on I-80 near mile marker 187.6. Burkey was traveling west when the 2003 International Harvester commercial truck he was operating veered off the road onto the left shoulder and down a small embankment. The trailer detached from the tractor when the vehicle left the roadway. The truck then struck a tree head-on, resulting in disabling front-end damage. No injuries were reported.

GREENE TOWNSHIP— On December 19, 2025, a collision was reported on Rauchtown Road (SR-880). Colton Killion, 29, of Mill Hall, was driving north in rainy and windy conditions while attempting to get to a disabled motorist to provide assistance. The crash occurred as Killion stopped his Ford Explorer to maneuver around a tree in the roadway, and a branch struck the driver’s side quarter panel, causing minor cosmetic damage. No injuries were reported.
Motor Vehicle Accident – Commercial Vehicle
LAMAR TOWNSHIP: On December 18, 2025, a crash occurred on I-80 near mile marker 182 involving two commercial vehicles. Sean Fields, 53, of Oakgrove, MO, was driving a Freightliner Cascadia in the center lane, while Alphonso Chapman, 31, of Virginia Beach, VA, was in the right lane operating a Peterbilt truck. Fields drifted into the right lane and struck the rear of Chapman’s vehicle. Both trucks continued eastbound before veering off the road onto the south berm and into a ditch. Fields’ cab detached from its frame when the vehicle rolled onto the driver’s side. Chapman’s truck went up an embankment and came to a stop facing southeast. Fields was transported to UPMC Williamsport for injuries of unknown severity, while Chapman was not injured.

PORTER TOWNSHIP: On December 18, 2025, at 7:37 p.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred on I-80 eastbound at mile marker 175.4. Vittorio Mena, 65, of Ridgefield, NJ, was passing Presgeuss Porter, 23, of New Orleans, LA, in the left lane when he lost control of his Toyota GR86 and began to hydroplane. Mena’s vehicle moved into the right lane directly in front of Porter, who was unable to avoid a collision and struck Mena’s car with his bumper. Mena’s car then spun off the road and hit a guide rail multiple times. Porter also struck the guide rail while trying to avoid the crash, and was able to safely pull off the highway. Mena’s car was totaled and had to be towed, and a passenger in his vehicle was taken to UPMC Lock Haven Hospital for suspected minor injuries as a result of the crash.

GALLAGHER TOWNSHIP— On December 16, 2025, at approximately 7:26 p.m., a single-vehicle crash occurred in the 2400 block of Bear Pen Hollow Road. Jacques Paul, 37, of Lock Haven, was negotiating a left curve in the road when his vehicle continued straight off the east side of the roadway and struck a tree on the roadside. The vehicle came to an uncontrolled stop off the roadway, and Paul was transported to UPMC Lock Haven Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

GREENE TOWNSHIP— On December 15, 2025, Ashley Reffner, 39, of Lock Haven, was involved in a crash while driving south on Long Run Road. Slippery road conditions caused Reffner’s Toyota Prius to slide off the right side of the roadway and strike a guide rail with its front end. The vehicle came to a stop facing east after the impact. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
Harassment w/Physical Contact
AVIS BOROUGH— On December 13, 2025, at 11:58 p.m., a domestic altercation occurred at a single-family residence on Clinton Street. PSP responded to the scene and, as a result of the physical altercations, filed three citations for Harassment against a 34-year-old man from Jersey Shore, a 35-year-old man from Avis, and a 77-year-old man from Jersey Shore. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-01.
Assault on EMS Personnel
RENOVO BOROUGH— On December 13, 2025, at approximately 2:11 a.m., PSP Lamar responded to a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle in the 100 block of 13th Street. When emergency medical services arrived and began treatment, the patient, identified as Jeremiah Wilson, 42, of Renovo, assaulted an EMS responder from Lock Haven. Wilson was reportedly found to be under the influence of alcohol, and criminal charges for Aggravated Assault and DUI are pending.
Theft
LOCK HAVEN CITY: On December 8, 2025, at 12:20 a.m., PSP Lamar Troopers responded to a theft complaint at 111 1st Street. According to their investigation, the actual theft took place on Mount Riansares Road in Lamar Township. A 26-year-old woman from Renovo reported that a known suspect took her cell phone and either kept it or destroyed it. The incident remains under investigation.

GREEN TOWNSHIP— On December 8, 2025, at approximately 12:54 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on I-80 westbound near mile marker 190.6. Adrien Ace, 56, of Burgettstown, PA, was driving in the left lane and entering a right curve when the right rear tire of his Ford F-150 blew out. The truck veered off the south side of the roadway, and Ace overcorrected, reentering the left lane before crossing into the right lane and striking a commercial truck driven by Luis Silva-Flores, 32. Ace’s truck sustained disabling damage and came to rest on the south shoulder of the road. Silva-Flores was able to bring his vehicle to a controlled stop on the north shoulder. No injuries were reported.
Theft of Items From Motor Vehicle
CASTANEA TOWNSHIP— Between December 4 and December 6, 2025, a 72-year-old male victim’s firearm was stolen from his vehicle on McElhattan Avenue in Castanea. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact PSP Lamar at 570-726-6000.
Criminal Trespass
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On December 3 and December 7, 2025, an individual trespassed onto property located on Munro Road. This investigation is ongoing.
Retail Theft
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On December 3, 2025, at 12:47 p.m., a retail theft occurred at Walmart in Mill Hall. Patty Bowes, 80, of Howard, reportedly attempted to avoid paying full retail price for eight items totaling $68.21. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Endangering the Welfare of a Child
BEECH CREEK BOROUGH— On November 25, 2025, at 5:50 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to a report of a child who had ingested THC gummies. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Harassment/Threats/Physical Contact
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP—On November 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., an incident involving three students occurred on a school bus traveling on Keystone Central Drive. As a result, charges are pending against a 15-year-old student.
