Editor:
Today, a Federal judge shot down Trump attorney, John Eastman who said in one of his email exchanges that Trump was aware that the number of voter fraud cases his team was alleging in a federal lawsuit challenging the election results in Georgia was “inaccurate.” But, the judge said, Trump signed off on the suit, “swearing under oath” that the numbers were correct, anyway which raises the odds of a Federal indictment against both soon.

This was just one small part of the vast, complex web of conspiracies spread by Trump and his minions to convince millions of followers that he lost the 2020 election only because of massive “voter fraud.” The most important aspect of this whole drama is that it’s not over nor is it in the past, but continues full speed ahead toward realizing the goals of MAGA world to end free and fair elections via the elections next month and in 2024. The steps toward this goal include:

1.) Spread the “Big Lie” that the election was “stolen” and make it a requirement for any Republican hoping to run for office.
2.) Run election officials and workers all over the country out of office and replace them with their own election deniers who will control elections.
3.) Use threats, fear, and violence to intimidate long-term, career election officials and elect Governors, Secretaries of States, etc. who will decide how elections will be run and votes counted and certified.
4.) The Supreme Court may soon give state legislatures total control over their states’ elections-and make it much easier for them to choose or change electors and overturn the results.
5.) Some Republican-controlled states will operate like this while others will not, basically creating two separate systems of election laws and nations.
6.) This will undoubtedly create enormous conflict, confusion, and probably violence, giving MAGA world its wish for a “Civil War.”

I suspect the average citizen is blissfully unaware of these developments in process as I write this and much less aware of how how they vote is connected to the possible end of the American Democracy as we have known it for our entire lives.
