Letter to the Editor
Thank You Bucktail Medical Center
Editor:
I grew up on the banks of Kettle Creek, just past Leidy Bridge. I graduated from Bucktail in 1960.
For many years, I have returned each spring to fish for trout. Last May 2024, I was standing beside my truck at Botsford Bridge, working on my tackle when a tree fell on me and my truck, sending my truck to the junkyard and me to the hospital. An ambulance came and transported me to Bucktail Medical Center.
I want to publicly acknowledge the great care and exceptional kindness along with their medical knowledge of the situation. They immediately realized the severity of my condition and had me airlifted to UPMC in Williamsport. I want to give a great big THANK YOU to all who ministered to me at Bucktail Medical Center. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and compassion were unmatched, including the ambulance, helicopter, and EMS crews.
At UPMC, they responded to and cared for my every need. I owe them a big THANK YOU as well. To review their care, they sent me a text with a survey link. I gave them 5 stars and when the text asked for suggestions on how they could improve their service, I responded “You can’t improve on perfection.”
Again, words cannot express how thankful I am to these two medical institutions.
By the way, I just got back from fishing this year and was careful not to park under any dead trees.
Philippians 1:3 KJV “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you”
Forever Grateful,
Rev. Jim Summerson
