Lady Wildcats Come Up Just Short in Road Test at Bellwood-Antis

BELLWOOD — The Central Mountain Lady Wildcats put together one of their strongest offensive efforts of the young season Monday night but came up just short in a 58–54 road loss to Bellwood-Antis.

Central Mountain opened with 16 points in the first quarter and kept pace through a tight first half, trailing just 20–16 after one and pulling even by halftime. Bellwood-Antis used a 20-point third quarter to regain momentum, and although the Wildcats answered with 14 points in the fourth, they were unable to erase the deficit in the final minutes.

Camdyn Weaver led Central Mountain with a standout 20-point performance. Reagan Weaver added 13, while Payton Williams followed closely with 17 points. Alaina Carnahan scored 3, and Elise McKean chipped in 1 to round out the scoring.

Central Mountain saw success in the JV contest, earning a 36–21 victory behind a strong outing from Alaina Carnahan, who scored 15 points.

The Lady Wildcats return to action Wednesday when they host Hughesville.
