Four Lock Haven men’s wrestlers nationally-ranked; Kapusta moves up five spots at 149

MANHEIM, Pa. – Four members of the Lock Haven men’s wrestling team are ranked in the latest InterMat National Rankings, the organization announced on Tuesday (Dec. 9).

No. 22 Wyatt Henson (141), No. 23 Lucas Kapusta (149), No. 32 Avery Bassett (174) and No. 32 Tucker Hogan (197) were all featured in the latest InterMat National Rankings.

The quartet all wrestled to victories to lead The Haven to a convincing, 30-10, victory over Clarion in the team’s Mid-American Conference (MAC) opener last week.

Kapusta headlines the Bald Eagle nationally-ranked wrestlers after moving up five spots from No. 28 to No. 23 this week.

The redshirt sophomore has been steadily climbing the rankings each week and is currently 7-1 with two tech falls, two major dec. and a pin.

Next Up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles hit the road on Thursday, Dec. 18 (5 p.m.) and will travel to No. 21 Wisconsin for a non-conference dual.
