Ring, Ring, Ring the Bells

Local man volunteers many hours

Greg Scere and Kenny Syler ringing the Bells at Scoots in Renovo.

If you been to Renovo this holiday season, you are sure to have seen  Kenny Seyler ringing the bells for the Salvation Army Renovo Service Center.

Kenny is a faithful servant that stepped up to help when people would cancel their time to ring the bell. Even when his brother Jimmy Seyler passed a week ago, it didn’t stop him. The bells rang loud for all those in need, for the people that have been evicted and are now facing the streets, for those that are getting their water shut off, for those that need fuel and for those that are just struggling to get by. Kenny gives his heart freely to them. Robin Davenport, volunteer at the Salvation Army in Renovo said “Kenny, didn’t put his personal life on hold, he showed us what matters the most in his heart.  I truly believe the Lord has Kenny in our Renovo Community to show the love of Jesus Christ.”

Volunteer, Donna Bingaman said she is thankful for Kenny and all the volunteers who rang the bells this holiday season. She also said that she would like to thank Scoots, Lingle’s and Tony’s Hardware for allowing them to be at their stores.

Kenny stopped by the Record office on Tuesday to spread some Christmas cheer. He said what he loves most about ringing the bell is the children that want to have their photo taken with him. He said it makes him feel great when they tell him they love him.
