Social media post prompts police attention relative to KCSD schools

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Keystone Central School District Jacquelyn Martin alerted the news media Sunday evening about a social media post relative to threats at a “Central High School.”

Dr. Martin said an investigation by local police deemed the post not credible to the local area; instead its origin looked to be from Colorado. She did say there would be an “increased police presence” in district schools on Monday.

The superintendent’s release:

Local police and Keystone Central School District Police have been made aware of a Snapchat post that included threats to students and administrators at “Central High School” by “Alex Anderson.” This picture has been circulating on social media in our area over the weekend

Through further investigation it has been determined that the post circulated a few days ago near a Central HIgh School in Colorado and was deemed not credible.

Although we believe that there is no credible threat in any of our schools, we will have an increased police presence tomorrow in the district.
