LOCK HAVEN, PA – Lock Haven University’s Public Safety office took to social media on Friday to warn of a possible scam in the community:

POSSIBLE SCAM ALERT:

LHU Public Safety would like to inform the campus and surrounding communities of a possible scam in the area. It was reported to LHU Public Safety today that two men, claiming to be from Lock Haven University, have gone to at least one home in the area trying to sell Dial hand sanitizer. They are described as a white man and a black man, neither wearing masks and carrying a black bag. These men are not associated with Lock Haven University. Please be advised that you should not buy anything from someone you do not know who has come to your home or apartment and do not let them into your residence. Please report any suspicious activity to your local Police Department.
