Obituary – Charles A. Saltsman, Jr.
Charles A. Saltsman, Jr., 81, of E. Renovo passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo.
Born November 9, 1943 in Renovo he was a son of the late Charles A. Saltsman, Sr. and Letha (Saxton) Saltsman.
He was married March 23, 1962 to the former Rebecca A. Wagner. They celebrated 62 years of marriage together.
Charles worked as a welder for Hammermill Paper Co.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports especially wrestling.
Surviving are his loving wife; one son Charles A. (Candace) Saltsman, III of S. Renovo and two daughters; Debra (Richard) Kelley of E. Renovo and Lisa (Eric) Thompson of Dunnstown, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and a special nephew Mark Eugene Lavelle of North Bend.
He was preceded in death by five sisters; Madelyn Lirette, Maxine Putnam, Marlene Lavelle, Mary Jane Chalfant and Margaret Neese and a nephew Charles “Peanut” Long.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
