Millville keeps pace in 1A with 16-0 win over Sugar Valley

LOCK HAVEN- Millville continued their push towards District IV 1A’s top spot on Wednesday with a big 16-0 victory over Sugar Valley Rural Charter.

The Quakers entered the contest with the Phoenix trailing only defending district champions Northeast Bradford in the current district power rankings.

Millville would build a 12-0 lead after just two innings by scoring 7 runs in the first and another 5 in the second inning. They would add a pair of runs the following inning and two more in the top of the fifth. The Phoenix failed to score on the day and compiled just 4 hits.

Lincoln Breon, Grayson Hastings, Laydon Bryan and Levi Galentine all collected the 4 Sugar Valley hits.

Now 0-10, Sugar Valley will be back on the diamond on Friday when they host undefeated Montgomery at Taggert Park.
