Lock Haven police make another area caregiver arrest
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The recent string of caregiver arrests in Clinton County continued with Friday word from Lock Haven police of the recent arrest of a Renovo man.
Police said Matthew Wolfe, 36, was arrested for access device fraud, theft, financial exploitation of a care-dependent person, and other related offenses. Police allege that between October 11and November 2, Wolfe, who was a care giver for the victim, took the victim’s bank card from the victim’s mail and used it for nine different transactions totaling $1,831.70 in fraudulent charges..
Police also said Wolfe was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. On November 6, they said, a backpack belonging to Wolfe was found in a vacant apartment at 4 N. Henderson St. and they allege methamphetamines were found in the backpack. Police said Wolfe admitted the controlled substance was his.
