RENOVO – The Friends of the Renovo Library recently held a contest that included the Bucktail Area High School art students asked to create the organization’s logo. The students were encouraged to be creative in their designs.

The Friends asked for something that would represent Friends of the Renovo Library in the community as a logo we could use in our future communications.

In all, five art students participated, including- Eva Sockman (11th grade), Kedda Bissman (11th grade), Keagan Kitchen (10th grade), Xavier Shank (9th grade), and Camden Barnes (9th grade).

Friends of the Renovo Public Library explained that all 5 contestants did a great job leaving it hard to decide them to choose the winners.

Ultimately the Friends awarded 1st place was to Eva Sockman who received $50 as a prize, while 2nd went to Kedda Bissman who received $25.

“It was tough and not an easy decision, the young artists did great and we really appreciated their efforts,” said Friends President Brandy Griffiths. The other three designers received $10 and received honorable artist’s appreciation from the Friends group.
