Miller Announces Candidacy for Keystone Central School Board

LOCK HAVEN – My name is John Miller, a lifelong resident of Lock Haven, and I am honored to present myself as a candidate for Keystone Central School Board Director in District VII, representing Lock Haven City Ward 4 and Ward 5. I am an open-minded, honest, and ethical person committed to fighting for a fresh start for both the district and the entire community. As a registered Republican, I am proud to appear on both the Republican and Democratic ballots in the upcoming election on May 20th. This choice reflects my strong belief that partisan politics should have no place in our schools. The school board must be a dedicated body focused on the welfare of our students and community, free from political agendas.

My campaign centers on tackling several pressing issues. First, I am deeply troubled by the board’s disregard for fiscal responsibility, which has led to significant tax increases for our already burdened citizens. I am committed to curbing spending, prioritizing fiscal responsibility, and keeping the best interests of taxpayers at heart. Second, we must confront the persistent problem of low test scores in our district by taking swift action and demanding accountability. Our students deserve a high-quality education that equips them to compete successfully after graduation. We also need to urgently address the serious issues of bullying, violence, and drug use in our schools. Third, I pledge to foster a more transparent school district and board, ensuring the community receives clear explanations for all decisions.

Together, we can create a safer, more effective, and empowering learning environment for students and teachers while reducing taxes for our community. I respectfully ask for your vote on May 20th to bring meaningful change to our district.
