Central Mountain Outpaced by Lady Seals, 56-32

SELINSGROVE – The Lady Wildcat basketball team were handed another PHAC road loss tonight as Selinsgrove picked up a 56-32 PHAC win. The loss takes Central Mountain to 0-14 overall and 0-6 in the Pennsylvania Heartland Conference.

CM fell behind 16-8 in the first quarter and Selinsgrove went on to build a 27-13 lead at the break.

The Lady Seals then overwhelmed Central Mountain 16-4 in the third quarter, bolstering their lead to 43-17 with the final quarter remaining.

The Lady ‘Cats did manage to gain somme offensive momentum in the final period edging the hosts 15-13 in the fourth quarter to set the final 56-32 score.

It was a balanced effort on offense for Central Mountain with Morgan Wetzel, Taylor Fletcher and Marissa Moyer scoring 8 points each. Quinlynn scored 4 points with Hayley Bauer and Katie Burrows each spring 2 points.

Next up for the Lady Wildcats is a home game with rival Jersey Shore on Friday, Jan. 26, 2017 when Central Mountain will observe Senior Night.
