Mill Hall Elementary Learn Chemistry is FUN!

mh-chem-fun-140404LOCK HAVEN – Mill Hall Elementary Kindergarten Teacher, Sue Turchetta, worked with Lock Haven University’s chemistry faculty members, Dr. Kevin Range and Dr. Brent May, to bring her class to LHU’s campus last week to give them a special introduction to the ways chemistry can be exciting!  The students were shown special experiments that highlighted the importance of chemistry as well as how enjoyable chemistry can be.

Mrs. Turchetta said after the chemistry field trip, “The kindergarten students had a great learning experience.  Dr. Range (and Dr. May) planned and provided a fun field trip.  I received an email from a parent after school that day letting me know that their child could not stop talking about the trip.  We are definitely planning another visit next year!”

This field trip is just one of many ways that LHU is continuing to develop ways to partner with Keystone Central School District.

Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in the commonwealth.
