CM Swept by Hollidaysburg

cm-volleyballBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It was a tough night for Central Mountain (2-4) volleyball as they hosted Hollidaysburg falling in straight games 3-0.

The first game started off at an even pace with the Lady Wildcats holding their own against Hollidaysburg, but the senior dominant Lady Tigers started to pull away wining the first game 25-15.

In the second game it was more of the same with Hollidaysburg holding a slight lead, then pulling away from the Lady ‘Cats to earn another win 25-14.

In the third stanza, CM did muster a late rally but the margin was too much once again with the Lady Golden Tigers earning a 25-17 win.

For Central Mountain Elaina Eckley had 3 kills with Vanessa Soo and Jenni Skow each contributing 2. Eckley, Soo, Makenna Bittner and Kelsie Buckwalter all had an ace to their credit.

Maegan Miller led on the defensive side with 20 digs on the night while Bittner and Eckley each had 10 digs.

Next up for Central Mountain will be a trip to West Branch for some tournament action Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 then the Lady Wildcats will host Wellsboro on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016.
