Lady Wildcat Tennis opens with 3-2 Win over Williamsport

cm-tennisWILLIAMSPORT – A quality win over a conference rival was in order for the fist action of the Central Mountain girls’ tennis program in 2016.

CM edged the Lady Millionaires 3-2 in a quality win on the road. Williamsport has been in the top two of the Heartland conference the past two seasons.

“The Central Mountain doubles teams both played very well and showed excellent decision making in their shots,” according to head coach Pete Wert, “Quinn McCluskey did a great job coming from behind in the first set and then rolled over her opponent in the second set,” added Wert.

“Jolie McCluskey lost 6-2,6-2 to the district runner up from last year, but played very well overall,” Wert noted.

The Lady Wildcats have another tough league match on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at Selinsgrove.
