RENOVO – A Pennsylvania Department of Transportation slope stability project will get underway Wednesday on a section of Route 120 in Clinton County. The work zone is located near the village of Shintown in Noyes Township and will feature an alternating traffic pattern controlled by flaggers in the roadway.

PennDOT said the project will repair erosive damage to roadway fill slopes and include construction of soil-nailed retaining walls. Work includes slope stability improvements, guide rail updates, pavement markings, drainage improvements, and miscellaneous items. All work will take place during daylight hours.

Francis J. Palo, Inc. of Clarion is the contractor on this $5.3 million job, which spans the 2015 and 2016 construction seasons. Work is expected to be complete by late November of 2016. Traffic control in 2016 will feature an alternating traffic pattern enforced by temporary traffic signals.
