Jersey Shore postpones Friday football game
JERSEY SHORE, PA – In the wake of the hospitalization of a Jersey Shore football player, the Jersey Shore School District on Wednesday announced that Friday’s home football game with Shikellamy has been postponed until a later date.
The Jersey Shore community has been saddened by the collapse of Bulldog football player Max Engle at Jersey Shore’s football game at Selinsgrove last Friday. In a release on Tuesday, the district said the young man’s “medical prognosis is not good.”
The Wednesday announcement from the school district:
Out of the utmost respect for Max and his family, the team has decided to postpone Friday’s football game. We are working with Shikellamy to reschedule in the very near future and we are so thankful for their support and understanding.
We will play again, but our players and the rest of the Bulldogs need some time.
Thank you for your continued support. We will release details of the game when it is finalized.
Please keep Max and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
