Walker, Wildcats Power Past Selinsgrove for 10-4 Win
SELINSGROVE – Central Mountain continued its perfect start to the season Monday night with a 10-4 road win over Selinsgrove in conference action.
The Wildcats used a balanced offensive attack, scoring in five separate innings and capitalizing on four Selinsgrove errors. Blake Walker led the way with a three-hit night, including a solo home run in the sixth inning.
Brady Lavelle added two hits, including a double, while Watt Probst also doubled as part of his two-hit effort. Bryce Brungard, Darius Shade, and Jase Seltzer each contributed a double to round out Central Mountain’s 11-hit performance. Isaiah Maldonado added a single.
On the mound, Seltzer earned the start and threw four strong innings, allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out five. Shade pitched the fifth and surrendered four runs on four hits and one walk. Maldonado closed the game with two scoreless innings and recorded two strikeouts.
Selinsgrove’s Griffin Parker took the loss. The Seals tallied seven hits in the contest but couldn’t overcome their defensive miscues.
Central Mountain (10-0) will next compete in the Central Columbia Tournament on Saturday.
