“You Gotta’ Regatta” #52 fast approaching

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The responsible faces will be familiar, but it is within a new organizational framework when the 52nd annual Lock Haven Regatta is staged just over two weeks away along the banks of the Susquehanna River in Lock Haven.

This year’s Labor Day weekend event will be staged by a newly created nonprofit organization, no longer affiliated with the Jaycees. But many of the principals remain the same, including regatta veterans DuWayne Kunes and Scott Johnson. And the four days of fun and boating in Lock Haven and Lockport remain unchanged.

Per information from the Regatta Facebook page:

The 52nd Lock Haven Regatta is fast approaching, running Sept. 1-4, 2023 on East Water Street from Jay Street to Washington Street, and arts and crafts in Canal Park from Water Street to Main Street. Fireworks are scheduled for 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023. .

Members from the nonprofit organization have been working all year long in preparation.
Physical work began on Aug. 6 and will continue each Sunday through Aug. 27, and all week leading up to the extended Labor Day Weekend.

Vendor spaces are still available for food trucks (please remember we are one of the last one-of-a-kind events), commercial booths and arts and crafts displays.
Please call 570-748-6388 or leave a message here.

These are pictures of volunteers working for the past two Sundays to get ready for the nationally-known and nationally-honored event.
Please share. Thank you.
