PHOENIX FALL TO JUNIATA 57-12

LOGANTON – The Sugar Valley Rural Charter wrestling squad had a 12-6 lead after three bouts, but saw the Juniata Indians win the next six bouts and then received three forfeits to come away with a 57-12 win over the Phoenix, who now fall to 3-4 on the season. 

The Phoenix could only manage two wins in the dual meet, as both Taylor Cantolina (121) and Hunter Berry (127) won by way of forfeits, as Berry now leads the team with seven wins. The Phoenix forfeited four weights, one was that they were missing Logan Leland for the dual meet as he is second on the team in wins with five. 

The Phoenix will be back in action on Wednesday night, as they will try to even their record at 4-4, as they will host Columbia Montour Vo-Tech in a 7 pm dual meet.
